What’s going on in New York

New York GiantsIt’s a good thing New Yorkers have the Yankees because the football wagering landscape in the Big Apple is looking awfully sparse. After terrific starts to the season, Giants and Jets fans alike have seen their respective seasons crumble.

At least they can take solace in the fact that Yanks are champs again, that is unless they’re Mets fans. The Giants came storming out of the blocks and ran up a 5-0 record while the Jets were also hot out of the gate winning their first three football wagering matchups in impressive fashion. Read more…

Are the Chargers Still a Playoff Contender

San Diego ChargersOver the past few years there have been few teams that have been slower starters in football wagering than the San Diego Chargers. This team always seems to struggle through the first two month of the season.

But at the same time there have been few teams that have finishes as well as the Bolts and this team has been a perennial post season fixture. This year it looks like history may be repeating itself.

San Diego has one of the most talented rosters in football wagering but for whatever that hasn’t translated into a Super Bowl title or even a Conference Championship in the pro football wagering action. Read more…

Houston TexansThere are certain sequences of words that have never been strung together before in the history of the NFL. One of them: “Jason Campbell is a fantastic QB”. Another: “Houston Texans earn playoff berth”. But one of these could very well become reality this year (hint: it’s not the former).

Colts Success is Deceptive

Indianapolis ColtsIt’s hard to complain about a 6-0 start to the football wagering season. Especially when your All-Pro QB is off to one of the best starts of his storied career and you’re defense is excelling in the absence of a former Defensive Player of the Year.

But not all is what it seems in Indy where the Colts have been perfect through seven football wagering weeks of action and among the early Super Bowl favorites.  Not to take any credit away from the Colts but the team’s success in pro football wagering has come against some very mediocre competition at best. Dallas has the best offense in the NFL

October 16th, 2009 Michael Parker No comments

Dallas CowboysThe NFL is full of football wagering incongruities. Take for example the fact that the Skins have one of the highest payrolls in the league and one of the worst records on the field.

What about the Manning family producing not one, but two pro bowl QBs.  And how ‘bout them Cowboys?  They are a mediocre team playing poor football and barely treading water above .500 in the football wagering. Read more…
