Mid-Term AFC Playoff Rundown
With half the football wagering season now in the tank it’s a good time to start looking at how the respective playoff pictures are shaping up in each conference. In the AFC the hunt for the postseason is mix of playoff regulars and some teams that haven’t been there for awhile as well, which should culminate in some interesting postseason possibilities.
In the AFC South little has changed. Indy is off to a great start in pro football wagering (8-0) and looks to have the division and a playoff spot locked up. With a 3½ game lead over the Texans it would take catastrophic event to keep this team out of the football wagering postseason.
In the East, New England has climbed back to its familiar spot on top of the division heap and is locked in on the NFL wagering playoffs. At 6-2 this team has been the class of the division and one of top teams in the AFC.
The AFC West is headed by the 6-2 Broncos who got off to a roaring start but after dropping two and watching the Chargers surge of late, their lock on division is not as secure as it once was. Both of these teams should make the pro football wagering postseason.
In the North, the Bengals have surprised everyone by jumping out to a 6-2 start and leading the division. The Steelers have an identical record but trail by virtue of a head to head tie break. Expect both of these teams to also make the playoffs with either one grabbing the last wild card spot in the AFC.
